Pupil absence

If your child is off of school due to sickness or an upset tummy bug NHS guidelines are that you MUST keep your child out of school for 48 after the last time they were sick or had diarrhoea. This week we have had several parents telephoning the office to say their child had been sick in the previous night or even that morning and that their child now feels better so they will be in after morning break/lunchtime. I understand that parents wanted their child to be in class photographs on Tuesday, however, it is unfair for pupils who are unwell to be sent into school. The auxiliary and the office staff have spent a large part of this week telephoning parents to collect their child who is unwell as pupils have been put back to school too quickly. To stop infections spreading throughout the school please keep your child off for 48 hours after they have been unwell. Thank you for your co-operation and support in this matter.

School Photographer

U-yoo photograpy will be in the school on Tuesday 8th March. This year it will be class photographs that are taken, the Nursery will have a morning session and an afternoon session photo taken. School uniform including shirt and tie should be worn. The photographer will start just after 9am so please try to make sure your child is in on time so that they don't miss the chance to be in their class group.

Staff car park

Please remember the car park is for staff - parents should not be using the car park for dropping off/picking up their children. The car park is always busy and with the ongoing gas works in the grounds there is less parking available than usual. It is vital that only the designated parking spaces are used and acess to all areas for works vans, lorries and emergency vehicles is kept clear. Thank you for your ongoing support in this matter.

Most of our classes are now using class dojo as a means of letting parents know what the class have been learning, sharing pictures and information from the class - please note that dojo should NOT be used for letting teachers know your child(ren) is going to be off of school that day. You should continue to report any medical absence, appointments or early pick up from school to the school office on 01382 438840. Thank you.

Rag Bag Collection

Our next rag bag collection will be picked up from the school on Tuesday 4th February. If you have anything to hand in please make sure it is handed in to the school office by Monday afternoon.
